Kerry Rodgers

Chief of Staff

San Francisco, CA, USA

As Chief of Staff, Kerry supports leadership across operations, partnerships, and fundraising, ensuring that internal systems run as smoothly and reliably as the treadle pumps at the heart of KickStart’s work.

Kerry brings deep experience across the nonprofit and social enterprise sectors. Prior to KickStart, she served as Co-Executive Director of Farming Hope, a San Francisco-based social enterprise focused on food justice and culinary job training. She previously held roles in corporate philanthropy at Salesforce and Airbnb, and co-founded an international service nonprofit, Give A Day Global, as well as a summer arts program and a professional photography business.

Kerry began her career as an educator, teaching high school students in Silicon Valley. She graduated from Stanford with a degree in art and philosophy and earned a Master of Fine Arts from Claremont Graduate University. Kerry has volunteered as a teacher for inmates at San Quentin Prison, for youth in Haiti, and as a strategic advisor for several nonprofits.

Fun fact: Kerry grew up on a former lemon farm in Santa Barbara, developing a love for cooking and gardening, and counting chickens and compost worms among her earliest companions!
