In his role as a Partnerships and Business Development Officer in Malawi, Ganizani Soko works closely with smallholder farmers and local partners to design and implement initiatives that strengthen incomes and food security through expanded access to irrigation and agricultural markets.

Ganizani brings more than 12 years of experience working with rural farming communities across a range of agricultural development projects. He has hands-on expertise in community mobilization, formation of farmer associations and cooperatives, and training farmers in irrigation technologies and agribusiness management. His experience also includes seed multiplication programs, horticultural production, agro-processing, and climate-smart agricultural practices, as well as linking farmer groups to reliable and profitable markets.

In addition, Ganizani has contributed to international research in collaboration with York University’s School of Social Work in Canada, supporting a study led by Professor Barbara Heron and Rebecca Tiessen on the impact of volunteering and learning abroad programs.
