Mwaluko leads KickStart’s impact assessment efforts in East Africa, measuring the effects of KickStart’s pumps on the lives of beneficiary farmers, their families and communities. He has successfully piloted the digitization of KickStart’s monitoring and evaluation systems, greatly increasing efficiency of impact data collection and analysis processes. Mwaluko currently leads the tactful expansion of digital apps to collect detailed data, tracking the impacts of KickStart’s irrigation technologies on food security, health, income, climate resilience, and overall livelihoods.
Prior to this, Mwaluko worked as the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for the Tanzania Agriculture Productivity Program (TAPP) under USAID Feed the Future, as well as a Project Officer leading impacts assessments at the International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). Mwaluko obtained his BSc in Agronomy and MSc in Agricultural Economics at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro, Tanzania.
