ABOUT THE JOB

KickStart International is seeking a Donor Engagement Officer to join our growing Development team in a remote capacity. The Donor Engagement Officer is a pivotal role in supporting the ambitions of KickStart’s fundraising strategy to deepen engagement with our individual donors and attract new supporters. An essential team member, the Donor Engagement Officer will report to the Director of Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will have responsibility for a range of essential functions, including prospect research to identify potential donors and build biographical profiles; assist our Director of Development in cultivating and stewarding relationships with KickStart’s donors; manage and expand the Evergreen Circle, our recurring giving program; and conceive and coordinate activities/events (virtual & in-person) to engage donors and donor prospects. As a self-starter, you will be encouraged to bring ideas and solutions to the table.

The Donor Engagement Officer is also responsible for: creating and analyzing giving reports; ensuring that donors are promptly acknowledged; and maintaining the integrity of KickStart’s donor database. Occasional duties will include scheduling board meetings and collating and disseminating quarterly Board reports.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Non-profit experience required. Fundraising experience a real plus.
  • Strong written and analytical skills, including research, data analysis, and ability to distill information, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working with CRM databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including courtesy, discretion, cultural competence.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • A drive and passion to help make a difference in the world.
  • Interest in Africa would be a plus.
  • University degree or equivalent work experience.

REMOTE WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time remote fundraiser position typically works during regular office hours. You will have the option of working remotely from anywhere in the continental US. Our team currently live/work from New York, Boston and San Francisco.
