Dave Young is a Senior Partner and Managing Director at the Boston Consulting Group, where he works with corporations, social mission organizations, institutional investors, and governments to develop strategies and transform their organizations to increase societal impact. The firm’s practice in Total Societal Impact works with corporations on business models that increase positive societal impacts through their core business while also improving the drivers of shareholder returns. Dave is particularly interested in new models at the intersection of the public, private, and social sectors that mobilize capital and capacity for scale toward the SDGs and humanitarian outcomes.
Dave returned to BCG in early 2016, following nine years with World Vision International, where he was the global COO with executive oversight for the performance of its field, technical, and support organizations encompassing 41,000 staff members into over 80 countries. World Vision’s work includes humanitarian relief, development, advocacy and microfinance operations striving for the sustainable well-being of 150 million of the world’s most vulnerable children.
Over his 20 years at BCG, Dave has served on the firm’s global executive committee, led its global industrial goods practice, and its Boston and Seoul offices. He contributes to the firm’s practices in social impact, public sector, strategy, people and organization, and global advantage.
