Jerryanne Heath Chiume has over a decade of experience in international business, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit development, including expertise in philanthropy and social enterprise in Africa.
Currently she is the Director of Development & Key Relationships at KickStart International, an award-winning nonprofit social enterprise that enables small-scale farmers across East, Southern, and West Africa to start profitable businesses and lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Jerryanne co-leads KickStart’s Development Team with a focus on cultivating meaningful relationships with the organization’s individual and major donors.
Prior to joining KickStart, Jerryanne was the Development Director at goods for good (recently rebranded to Yamba Malawi), a nonprofit that uplifts Malawian children by building local businesses and by enabling investment in their care. Previously, she was the Founder and CEO of ConceptLink, a consulting firm which delivered strategic fundraising, communications and capacity-building solutions to more than 100 Africa-focused nonprofits.
Jerryanne enjoys volunteering with local and global nonprofit organizations and serves on the Grants Advisory Committee of the New York Women’s Foundation, the largest women’s fund in the U.S., as well as the Advisory Board of Kupona Foundation, which improves access to healthcare in Tanzania. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies (cum laude) and a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Community Economic Development.
