Denivas joined Kickstart in 2015, leading the organization’s agriculture training programming across sub-Saharan Africa. He has developed an innovative agropreneurship framework for partner staff and farmer networks on business skills, irrigation best practices, in addition to agronomic and financial acumen necessary to approach farming as a dynamic business. Prior to this, he worked with Fintrac International as a Field Manager in the Rift Valley for the Kenya Horticultural Competitiveness Project (KHCP), after working with Blue Rhino Consult as a consultant training manager in the same project and region.

He has over ten years of experience in Agribusiness project management including cash crop creation for smallholder farmers, creating a roadmap outlining opportunities to expand trade and strengthen the Kenyan Bird Eye Chili sector, and establishing the influence of collective marketing strategies on socioeconomic development of smallholder horticultural farmers in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya.

Denivas holds a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. He is dedicated to building capacities of smallholders in effective business farmer group formation and governance, business skills for startups, financial literacy, gender mainstreaming, project designing, partnership engagement and negotiation.
